Formation Experiences

Every Stage Matters

Her Voice Formation Institution serves women and girls through four formation environments.

Each environment carries the same mandate and the Her Voice 3T Formation Method while responding to the questions, responsibilities and opportunities of a particular age or season.

These environments are not ranks or a fixed progression. A woman may recognise herself in more than one as her life, responsibilities and calling develop.

01For Teenage Girls

Her Voice School

Her Voice School is the formation environment for teenage girls aged 13–19. It establishes biblical foundations for identity, girlhood, purpose and healthy development during the years in which many competing voices begin shaping how a girl understands herself.

Her Voice School creates age-appropriate formation environments in which teenage girls can explore who they are, how they are being formed and what it means to grow according to God’s intention.

The aim is not merely to protect girls from cultural pressure. It is to equip them with truth, language and practical wisdom before family expectations, social media, relationships, pain or popular culture become the loudest authorities defining their worth and female design.

Girlhood by Design

Before culture defines her, truth must form her.

02For 20 Something Young Women

Her Voice Institute

Her Voice Institute serves 20-Something young women navigating identity, calling, transition, relationships, responsibility and the movement into mature womanhood.

It is the developmental environment for young adult women preparing for and responding to some of life’s most significant transitions.

Who the Institute Serves

Tertiary students

They belong to the same generation, but their lived experiences are not identical.

Her Voice Institute Programme

Formed in the Waiting

Unemployment may describe her present season. It must not define her identity.

A facilitator leading a formation conversation with young women around a table

For unemployed female graduates aged 20–29 who have completed a tertiary qualification and are currently navigating the transition into work.

A one-day, in-person formation intensive.

Her Voice Institute Programme

More Than a Qualification

A Weekend Formation Bootcamp for Female Tertiary Students

Forming the woman behind the qualification.

A facilitator guiding young women in a discussion around a table

For female students aged approximately 18–29 who are currently studying at universities, universities of technology, TVET colleges, private tertiary institutions or postgraduate institutions.

A student aged 18 or 19 may enter Her Voice Institute because her formation environment is determined by her present life stage, not age alone.

More Than a Qualification helps female tertiary students develop a rooted identity, a Kingdom worldview and the personal responsibility required to navigate campus life intentionally.

The programme recognises that tertiary education forms more than academic knowledge. During these years, young women encounter new freedoms, relationships, pressures, beliefs and decisions that can influence the women they become.

Her Voice Institute Programme

Formed at Work

A Four-Week Virtual Formation Journey for Young Professionals

Identity before title. Calling beyond position. Influence with intention.

A woman taking notes during an online formation session with other women

For women aged approximately 22–29 who are employed and within the early years of their careers; completing an internship, graduate programme or professional candidacy; working in corporate, public-sector, professional-practice or nonprofit environments; or navigating their first significant professional responsibilities or career decisions.

Formed at Work helps young professional women understand who they are within the workplace, separate identity from position and performance, and steward ambition, relationships, responsibility and influence according to Kingdom truth.

The workplace does more than employ a woman. It tests her identity, shapes her habits, confronts her values and reveals how she responds to responsibility, power, pressure and opportunity.

Programme Structure

Live classes are scheduled from 18:30–20:00 SAST to accommodate working participants. Dates will be shared with registered participants rather than published immediately.

  • Duration: Four weeks
  • Delivery: Virtual
  • Live classes: One 90-minute class each week
  • Self-paced learning: Approximately 60–90 minutes each week
  • LMS access: 90 days
  • Recommended cohort: 20–25 women

The Four Weeks

Week 1 — Identity Before Title

Truth understood: A role describes what a woman does; it does not determine who she is.

  • Identity beyond job title, income and professional recognition
  • Performance, perfectionism and comparison
  • The pressure to prove oneself
  • How professional success and failure affect self-worth
  • Remaining rooted while entering demanding environments

Formation practice: Participants complete an Identity and Performance Audit.

Week 2 — Womanhood in the Workplace

Truth practised: Professionalism does not require a woman to abandon her femininity, silence her voice or imitate unhealthy models of power.

  • Biblical womanhood within professional environments
  • Voice, confidence and professional presence
  • Workplace relationships and boundaries
  • Navigating authority, conflict and power
  • Responding to gender pressure without losing dignity
  • Integrity when organisational culture conflicts with personal convictions

Formation practice: Participants work through workplace scenarios involving boundaries, voice, conflict and influence.

Week 3 — Calling, Career and Ambition

Truth clarified: A career can express calling, but a job title is not the whole of a woman’s calling.

  • The difference between identity, calling, purpose, work and position
  • Healthy and unhealthy ambition
  • Career decisions, delays and course correction
  • Promotion, rejection and professional disappointment
  • Recognising when to remain, grow, move or prepare
  • Pursuing excellence without allowing work to consume the whole life

Formation practice: Participants develop a Calling and Career Alignment Map.

Week 4 — Stewarding Influence

Truth lived: Influence begins before a woman receives a senior title.

  • Stewarding time, money, relationships and opportunity
  • Building trust through character and consistency
  • Serving and leading from her present position
  • Responsible visibility and professional reputation
  • Preparing for greater responsibility
  • Carrying formation into work, home and community

Formation practice: Each participant completes a 90-Day Formed at Work Plan.

Weekly Learning Rhythm

The teaching component of live classes may be recorded. Private conversations, personal disclosures and breakout-room discussions should not be recorded.

03Respectful Wives

Her Voice University

Her Voice University serves married women who desire to grow in biblical womanhood and practise respect intentionally within their marriages, homes and relationships.

It creates an environment in which Kingdom truth is not only discussed but translated into everyday words, responses, decisions and habits.

Her Voice University Programme

The Respect Table

A One-Day Practical Formation Experience for Married Women

Respect is not merely understood. It must be practised.

Married women participating in a guided cooking and formation conversation

Biblical anchor: “The wife must respect her husband.” — Ephesians 5:33

Respectful Wives brings married women together to cook, learn, reflect and have honest conversations about what respect looks like in everyday married life.

The experience helps women examine how respect—or disrespect—may be communicated through words, tone, responses, conflict, decision-making and everyday conduct.

It is not a complete marriage curriculum and does not attempt to address every dimension of marriage in one day.

The Four Formation Sessions

01 — Understanding Biblical Respect

Exploring the biblical instruction to respect one’s husband and what respect means within a covenant relationship.

  • Respect as a Kingdom principle
  • Honour, dignity and covenant responsibility
  • The difference between respect, fear and submission to control
  • Respect as an intentional practice rather than an emotion
02 — The Language of Respect

Recognising how respect and disrespect are communicated in daily life.

  • Words, tone and body language
  • Public and private communication
  • Criticism, correction and disagreement
  • Listening and responding
  • Speaking about one’s husband to other people
03 — Respect Under Pressure

Learning how to maintain dignity and truth during disappointment, disagreement and conflict.

  • Responding rather than reacting
  • Handling unmet expectations
  • Communicating difficult truths respectfully
  • Establishing appropriate boundaries
  • Choosing respect without pretending that problems do not exist

Respect does not mean accepting violence, coercion, degradation, manipulation or danger. If you are in immediate danger, contact an appropriate emergency or qualified support service.

04 — Respect in Practice

Translating the day’s formation into practical commitments within the home.

  • What she needs to stop
  • What she needs to begin
  • What she needs to repair
  • What she needs to practise consistently
  • How she will carry respect into her words, conduct and home environment

Each woman completes a personal Respect in Practice Formation Plan.

The Cooking Experience

Cooking is integrated into the formation day as a practical environment for participation, conversation, cooperation, hospitality and shared learning.

  • Prepare a meal together in guided groups
  • Participate in formation conversations while cooking
  • Reflect on service, atmosphere, response and relationship
  • Share the completed meal around a table
  • Continue the guided conversation during the meal
